We’re hiring for a leading US-based consulting firm seeking a Security & Compliance Consultant to join their Tokyo team. This new role will support Japanese clients on their ISMAP and privacy certification journey, working closely with Japan’s Information-Technology Promotion Agency (IPA).
Location Tokyo – This is a two-year contract, with a salary of up to 16,300 Yen depending on experience.
🔍 What you’ll do:
- Partner with clients to enable ISMAP & privacy certification for SaaS platforms
- Leverage common compliance frameworks to support Cloud Controls Framework (CCF) adoption
- Liaise with external auditors and cross-functional teams
- Drive governance, process improvements, and compliance tooling
🧠 What we’re looking for:
- Strong experience in Security Compliance, IT Audit, or GRC
- Hands-on with AWS, OR Azure, OR GCP
- Familiarity with ISMAP, SOC2, ISO, GDPR
- Certifications like CISA, CISSP, CCSK, or ISO 27001 a plus
- Knowledge of SDLC, identity access, DR, and vulnerability management
- Bilingual fluency (Japanese/English)
- Based in Tokyo or open to relocating
