Account Exec required with hunter / new logo development and upselling abilities who has sold complex Software / SAAS, for example Cyber Security, Cyber resilience, encryption and authorization, Unified communication / Video collaboration or Private Cloud required in the Bonn & Berlin areas with a background selling into some of the German federal government, German National Intelligence, police, Justice, Defence, or Public sector is required by fast growing European software company at the forefront of secure video communications who provide sovereign and resilient European solutions for critical German public sector / federal communication and collaboration.
Salary 70-85k Base and 140- 170k OTE plus benefits (this is a remote role based within Bonn or commutable distance to Bonn) (You must be eligible to work for security clearance in Germany to work in this market)
Key skills required as an Account Exec would include
- 3-5+ years in IT sales with strong focus on hunter / winning new logos, or a similar pre-sales role
- Proven background selling to the German Federal Government, Public Safety, German Defense / Federal armed forces, Justice, Government agencies or Intelligence services.
- Experience selling complex Software to the public sector for example Cyber Security, Cyber resilience, encryption and authorization, Unified communication / Video collaboration / VOIP or Private Cloud
- Strong interest in technology and cyber security, and technically minded as the solutions are complex
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both German and English is a plus
- Ideally security cleared, or must be eligible for clearance
- Ideally strong connections in the Bonn & Berlin area
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Informatics, Business Management, Business Administration, Informatics or similar
Responsibilities for the Sales Executive would include
- 70% new pipeline / logo generation and 30% working with partners and upselling to existing accounts
- New Lead/referral generation via strong existing public sector network, and acting as a trusted adviser to high-level customer stakeholders, including regular on-site lobbyism in Berlin or Bonn (e.g., via participation in the GovTech Campus), and screening of tenders
- End-to-end sales lifecycle and closing sales opportunities/projects with large and complex customers with 6+ months sales cycles via proactive high-touch sales, and in tandem with the partners
- Help maintain a positive, supportive, and engaging team culture.
