Portfolio Lead with proven skills in Project Management or Portfolio Management, or PMO skills combined with experience of change management or change portfolio management and agile delivery methods is required by highly respected Lloyds Broker to support their ambitious green field change agenda  across business process transformation and digital transformation to help define, prioritise, mobilise and manage the right projects and programmes to deliver the right changes and take hands-on project management responsibility for a subset of change projects in the portfolio.

This is a new role which will be hybrid / based in their city office two days per week, and is a chance to work alongside the combined Business and IT Change Team to accomplish our change objectives, whilst developing your own skills in change portfolio and project management.

Job requirements for the Portfolio Lead / Project Manager – Business Change

  • Project manager or portfolio management / PMO capacity with full lifecycle delivery experience (PRINCE, APM, PMI etc)
  • Insurance or Financial Services background / FCA regulated business, and any experience of the Lloyds Market would be desirable
  • Relevant experience of programme, portfolio or project management, or PMO in a delivery environment
  • Waterfall / structured PM experience (Prince 2) / Agile methodologies methods such as (Agile, MSP,)
  • Change management / Change portfolio management experience or training
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Outgoing, organised and able to use own initiative
  • Experience of adhering to and maintaining systems and procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable and credible at senior level. Active listener, with high levels of integrity & openness
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships externally and internally
  • Personal effectiveness, including time management and priority setting
  • Ability to persuade, motivate, negotiate and influence
  • Continuous application of personal/professional development
  • Demonstrable Project Management and or Business Analyst experience
  • Excellent report writing and presentation abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a decision from inception through implementation

  • Ability to contribute to a strong team culture and work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Facilitation skills (e.g., meetings, workshops etc)
The key Responsibilities a Portfolio Lead / Project Manager would include

  • Proactively assist in the Portfolio and Project management of the Change Portfolio for business change / tech transformation
  • Being a key and integral member of the team, producing high quality deliverables and taking responsibility for managing varying elements of the Change Portfolio
  • Work with stakeholders to establish objectives, deliverables, and budgets for new change items
  • Assist in the production and validation of business case and Project Initiation documents for new change projects
  • Facilitate progression of new change items through approval stages with multiple Governance bodies
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders at all levels
