Frontend Developer / Frontend Engineer required with Angular 2 or above and Front End / JavaScript software engineering skills to work on real-time Front End Angular and WebRTC-based web clients for a world leading Video Collaboration product which impacts the experience of thousands of concurrent users. This is an outstanding chance to work in R&D product development for a highly respected and fast growing company at the forefront of video communications based in new stunning offices in Reading.

This role will be working on a complex Front-End product and is a chance to flex you JavaScript / Angular skills working with technologies such as WebRTC and real-time media and interfacing to complex backend systems.

When things return to normal the role will offer a good mix of office and home based working.

Key skills required as a Frontend Software Engineer would include

As a Frontend Developer you will have skills in the majority of  

  • Solid understanding of JavaScript and frontend / web development best practices and principles
  • Strong experience of Angular2+, later versions preferred
  • Previous experience of other client-side frameworks, e.g. AngularJS, Ember, React
  • An interest in WebRTC or real-time media this is not working on websites but real-time video communications
  • Knowledge of HTTP and experience consuming RESTful services
  • A sound academic background
Desirable skills as a Frontend Developer would include

  • Experience of coaching / mentoring
  • Experience with React
  • Knowledge of web accessibility best practices and standards
  • Experience implementing or extending RESTful backend services
  • Experience using client-side media device APIs and integrations
  • Experience building native applications using Electron and/or Apache Cordova
